Concession Supervisor

Reporting to the Hospitality Manager, is responsible for the oversight of concession staff, ensuring food quality and presentation and providing first class customer service. This position is very hands-on where you will be required to work with the staff every weekend during busiest times.

Responsibilities and Duties

Duties:

  • Training of all food and beverage staff
  • Food preparation, cooking and baking experience
  • Maintains all concession equipment
  • Ensures concession cleanliness
  • Providing first class customer service
  • Assisting in ordering product and maintaining inventory
  • Assisting with cash balancing


Qualifications and Skills

Qualifications:

  • 2 years of supervisory experience in a concession environment
  • Experience using POS, handling cash and reconciling daily sales.
  • Knowledge of safe food handling practices.  Food safe certification preferred.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job including standing for extended periods of time, cleaning and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Proficient computer skills with ability to operate standard office equipment (Point of Sale System, merchant system, etc.).
  • Advanced oral communication skills
  • Experience catering for large groups is an asset
  • Excellent organizational, planning, customer service and inter-personal skills
  • Must have own transportation

Job Type: Part-time Approx. 20 hrs a week.

Required education:

  • High school or equivalent

Required experience:

  • Supervisory: 2 years

 

 

Sports Services Staff - Operations p/t

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

  • Provide superior customer service to all user groups and guests while ensuring they follow the rules and regulations of the facility.
  • Create positive experiences for user groups by answering or redirecting queries about the facility, handling complaints and conflict resolution
  • Preform janitorial work for all dressing rooms, public washrooms and common areas.
  • Set-up and take-down of sports equipment in a timely manner
  • Physically capable of performing required duties
  • Respond to emergencies including evacuation alarms, medical emergencies and other safety issues.
  • Ensure the safety and security of the facility
  • Required to work evenings and weekends
  • Document all incidents and completing forms as required
  • Perform various other duties as assigned

 

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Motivated, ambitious and able to work independently
  • Ability to communicate and work as a team member
  • Strong ability to multi task
  • First Aid/AED/CPR/WHIMIS Certification
  • Criminal Record and Vulnerable sector check will be required.
